Critics used the technique idelogical
crticsm in criticizing this film, one of the aspects that clearly use the
method of ideological criticsm this is the existence of cultural diversity in
the film, for example in the movie "" The existence of the Chinese,
Indians and Malays have shown the existence of cultural diversity and community
is in this country. The film director in the film describes the attitude of the
Chinese people have transgressed because they have been so cruel and racist
towards the Malays, the existence of attitudes that occurred after the
elections are held and at the time UMNO won with the very thin. racist
attitudes grew even as there was a struggle between the people. however, the
film "" not only portrays the bad image of the people, the warmth and
tolerance of the people in the University play the role of Kavita Sidhu who
plays Kara, Zoey Rahman as Johan and Allen's character Alan Yun. In terms of
the image and representation of film “” eventho this movie were realesed in the
early of 2000 which is in the year of 2013, the quality of this movie is
unsatisfying, this is because the cinematic technique doesn’t appeared and applied
in this film. The quality of this film also can be related with the budget that
were expensed in this movie which is only RM 4.7 Million, Suhaimi Baba Doesn’t focus
on the quality of the film because the main agenda he directed this movie is
only to educate the viewer about the moral content in that film.
Then there is a narrative analysis of
the visible elements of Leftenan Adnan 's film in which the narrative and the
role of the narrator within him, the circumstances and dilemmas and techniques
used for chronological problem solving are described. The viewer will
understand in this film the storyline for the narrative as each scenario is
organized similar to a true tale. Thus, the film suits the storyline of the
tale that was initially produced from the outset and is an outstanding way to
show it even though it's just one of remake films. The characters in this film
play a really strong role in highlighting the history of Malaysia. They may
also be transparent in a category as classical narration, because they want the
viewer to focus on the story. The listener then concentrates on what happens
and on how the narrative informs. The movie presents us with a sequence of
events that involve a connection from one event to the next. The story consists
of similar pieces, usually in the form of a cause and effect. In comparative
analysis element, this film were compared with the International film. This film
“Tanda Putera” were the top list historical film in Malaysia In the film “Tanda
Putera”. The film tells of the close friendship between the second Prime
Minister, Tun Abdul Razak and his deputy, Tun Dr. Ismail, who had to be
secretive and set aside his own health problems to restore the country
following the blackout of May 13, 1969. Tun Abdul Razak had to keep secrets
about leukemia for his family because he did not want his family to suffer. He
was also concerned about national security at that time. The two of them also
shared a doctor through Dr. Macpherson. The reading room at Tun Dr.'s house
Ismail has been made a secret clinic for their treatment without the knowledge
of anyone including the family of Tun Dr. Ismail himself. Compared to other
South East Asian country such as Indonesia, Thailand and Philippine, many of
them look the same in expressing the movie but to be compared they like to use
a lot of fairy tales elements to make their film more intresting to attract the
viewer to watch their movie. The conceptual dimension of criticism, Datin
Paduka Suhaimi Baba, film producer, has succeeded in attracting the public in
this historic story, is visible in this film. Historical genre films are one of
those unique films because not everyone can make a film in one form that can
tell a true story. With every detail of the scene, it played a perfect role,
making it look real. The idea is this film should help any moment that occurs
in the film really enjoy and not everybody understands what the racial tension
tragedy is, This movie is great for people of all ages, because the morals
presented in this film are highly recommended to be engaging and instructive.
The motivational spirit played by Tun Abdul Razak in solving racial tensions
and economic problems in Malaysia. The spirit expressed by Tun Abdul Razak is
invaluable because with his health condition, he remains committed to
developing the country so that the future community can live in a safe and
comfortable environment. Upon reviewing this video, it is an aspect in semiotic
research where a text from a greater or thicker set in event impressions is
generated at the center of televised critique. The primary focus of criticism
and proof for valid claims would become that. A written TEXT form with a start,
middle and end often arises. The Latin word « texere » means « to weave » which
means to give knowledge or suggestions to the audience. The director use the title
“Tanda Putera” is because the friendship bond between Tun Abdul Razak and Tun
Dr Ismail is very strong. In this film
the image of Tun Abdul Razak And Tun Dr ismail were potrayed and
signified as a friendship, hardwork, brave and many more
