                  Hawaii Five O and S.W.A.T was an American elite group drama series that were produce by CBS Production. Those production company CBS Productions is one of the production arm of the CBS television network (formerly Columbia Broadcasting System, along with its parent company CBS Television Studios; the radio network was founded in 1927), now a part of ViacomCBS, formed in 1952 to produce shows in-house, instead of relying solely on outside productions. One of his first creations was Westinghouse Studio One, an anthologist of the drama

                There were three way on genre criticsm, first of all genre criticsm means on how we evaluating the content of the movie or the drama series. The genre criticsm devided into three parts which is Aesthetic approaches, Ritual approaches and ideological approaches

                Firstly on aesthetical approaches, both of the series is about a special police unit consisting of not more than four men at a time, during the 1968 series those Five-O group was lead by the ex-Navy Intelligence investigator which is steve Mcgarret, While S.W.A.T is an American crime drama is a locally born and bred S.W.A.T seargent and his team of highly-trained men and women as they solve crimes in Los Angeles.

                Secondly on Ritual approaches, Hawaii five-O is The story tells of an elite squad in Hawaii that uncovered all cases of crime, arguably the whole case where they could catch the culprit and be brought to justice. while the S.W.A.T reports a group of elite forces who attack the criminals very professionally as their group is supplied with great warfare technology and intelligence.

                Lastly on ideological approaches based on the Hawaiian five, they look more conventional like a detective group than any other area, but their storytelling seems to be different because of the environment of their area of ​​Hawaii, so the style of this five-o group looks more casual and classic. whereas for the S.W.A.T drama, their physical appearance is more sophisticated and stylish by the passage of time, this is because their surroundings are in los angeles, a thriving city. so it is not surprising that their clothes are more stylish and equipped with modern technology such as body armor and so on.
